West Valley Veterans Memorial

     The West Valley Veterans Memorial is located on the Tribal Grounds of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde beside the Governance Center.  Designed by CTGR Tribal Councilman and US Marine Veteran Steve Bobb, it features a man and woman dressed in tradi-

tional tribal clothing reaching to the sky, surrounded by four granite pillars, each representing the branches of the US Armed Services.  The names on the memorial are CTGR Tribal members and Veterans who live in the Tri-City area.  It was dedicated in 2003 and is, today, the centerpiece of the Grand Ronde Tribal Campus.  Dedication of new names added are held every Memor-ial Day in a ceremony held at the Memorial.
